OZARKS PRAIRIE SOONERS
CHAPTER OF FMCA Ozarks Prairie Sooners (OPS) is approximately 40 coaches strong (average attendance per weekend is 15 – 25) with members ranging in age from mid-50’s to mid-70’s. Membership is open to all makes of motorhomes. The founding meeting was held in March 1993 at Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Monthly meetings are held at a campground that is within a 250 mile radius of Mt. Vernon. OPS Chapter area encompasses the four corners of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. We camp on the third Friday weekend, beginning in April through October. Activities of weekend meetings can include potluck dinners, cookouts,
catered meals, train and boat rides, shopping, antique and flea marketing,
golf, music shows, table games, and lots of visiting, sharing, and laughter. Coaches arrive on Friday (or earlier). The official monthly business meeting is held Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Volunteer host couples plan the weekend’s activities. Departure begins Sunday morning, after rolls and coffee.
